Welcome to the home page of Lancaster CTC. We enjoy a varied programme of rides in the glorious countryside on our doorstep.
These rides vary in length and some cyclists go out to the coffee stop and then return home whilst others tackle the full ride, usually eating their own packed lunches, and often calling at a café for tea on the way home. Whichever route you choose, you will have a fun day out. The length of the rides depends on the terrain, amount of climbing and the time of year.
The rides start at 9.00am from Beaumont College on the A6 at the north side of Lancaster or at 9.15am from the Boot and Shoe pub on the A6 at the south side of Lancaster. For more details please look at the runs list page. We take turns leading the rides, some of which have off road sections or are car assisted. For more detailed information about the rides take a look at the runs reports.
On occasions, we have weekends away or tours in other parts of the country, visiting the Birthday rides, York rally etc when possible. Club members often cycle abroad, often in France at ‘The Semaine Federale’
From October until March on the second Tuesday in the month we hold social evenings, usually in the Hala Centre near the Boot and Shoe pub. The AGM takes place in November. Several times a year we hold club meals, the Christmas one usually incorporating the ‘down hill event’. Twice a year the club organises two very successful audax events.
